Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the Medical Surgical Floor in Bethel, Alaska. This position involves delivering comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide safe, efficient, and quality care, supporting patients across all age groups from birth to elderly, including post-surgical and behavioral health patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 32 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must have completed a nursing program from an NLN-approved institution; Current Alaska Registered Nurse license in good standing; BLS certification; Successful passing and maintenance of competencies for Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training.
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Proficient oral and written communication skills; ability to practice nursing according to Alaska regulations; clinical knowledge with the capacity to manage care across different settings; flexibility in work schedule and independent action within prescribed limits; competence in administering treatments, medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and patient education; experience managing behavioral health patients with therapeutic communication; knowledge of medical terminology; ability to work effectively in a patient care setting; strong reading, analytical, documentation, procedural, and guideline-following skills; basic mathematical skills; problem-solving abilities and interpretative skills for instructions and procedures.
• Additional Information: Candidates with pediatrics and adult experience are especially encouraged to apply. Orientation begins on a Tuesday, so initial guaranteed hours may vary in the first week. All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations.
