Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position available in Davenport, Iowa. The RN will provide high-quality patient care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. This assignment offers a 12-hour shift schedule with a commitment of at least 36 hours per week for an 8 to 13-week duration.
Job Details:
- Location: Davenport, IA
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of two (2) years of bedside critical care clinical experience; staffing in a Progressive Care Unit; Iowa (IA) license or appropriate state licensure for practice; favorable references and a commitment to safety and patient-centered care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit; strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Information: The RN will perform initial patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, develop individualized care plans, and participate in patient education and discharge planning. Responsible for documentation, delegation, and supervision of ancillary nursing staff. Maintains safety standards and participates in team-building activities. Charge nurse responsibilities may be assumed following orientation. Active pursuit of professional growth through education is encouraged.
