Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position available in Dallas, Texas. This role involves caring for high-risk obstetrical patients on a specialized labor and delivery unit. The candidate will be responsible for providing bedside care, assisting in c/sections, and recovering high acuity patients within a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-risk labor and delivery care, certified in high risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in c/section procedures, and recovering high acuity patients. Active certifications include Fetal Monitoring certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE fetal monitors and Meditech or CPNS documentation systems.
  • Specific Unit Details: High-risk obstetrical unit with approximately 24 beds, patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1, and staffed for vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, and post-delivery recovery care.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs with a specified color, neat and clean hair, no artificial nails or visible piercings, body art covered as feasible.
  • Additional Policies: Ability to float to antepartum unit within womens health; adherence to attendance policies.
