Description
Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician position located in Windsor, Vermont. This role involves supporting surgical teams with procedures across various specialties, including General Surgery, Urology, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, and Gastroenterology/Endoscopy. The position requires independence, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to facility protocols. The shift is scheduled for days, with a standard 8-hour workday.
Job Details:
- Location: Windsor, VT
- Shift: Days, 8 hours
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week; five shifts per week
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (certification must be current within the past year), active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 3 years current CST experience, travel experience, own vehicle, and current work history Skills Checklist. Candidate must include a supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
- Additional Requirements: Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Perm address and all scheduling requests must be included in profile at submission; requests after offer may be rescinded.
- Procedures/Specialties: General Surgery, Urology, Podiatry, Ophthalmology (cataract procedures must be able to load lenses, oculoplastics), GI/Endoscopy specimen capture, scope reprocessing.
- Experience: 3+ years current CST experience required, travel experience required, own vehicle required.
- Certification: NBSTSA certification is required (NCCT not accepted).
- Additional Details: Must be able to work independently, and demonstrate proficiency in supporting multiple surgical specialties. No 10/12-hour shifts available; candidate must be able to work five 8-hour shifts.
- Travel and Call Requirements: Ability to work call (4 USD/hr), 2-3 days per week. Holiday coverage may be required. Call-offs must be communicated at least 1.5 hours in advance; after three call-offs, contract may be subject to termination.
