Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position is located in Edison, New Jersey. This role involves evaluating neonatal patients and assisting physicians with patient care in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The nurse will develop and implement individualized care plans for newborns, perform therapeutic nursing interventions, and manage patient care in accordance with established standards. The shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with an every-other-weekend schedule, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Every other weekend as needed. No on-call responsibilities.
- Required Qualifications: ASN degree; NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license; BLS certification from AHA; NRP certification; minimum 3+ years of Mother baby and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) experience caring for newborns.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Additional Information: Must have at least one year of experience in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery or NICU setting. No floating unless handling babies on postpartum.
