Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Bakersfield, California. This role involves delivering high-quality, coordinated nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The RN will supervise nursing staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to promote patient safety and recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor, zero years of experience minimum, location in Bakersfield, California, and experience in an acute care setting preferred

- Additional Information: The position requires proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records system. The ICU nurse will gather relevant patient data, develop and implement care plans, evaluate progress, and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The role includes participating in discharge planning and delegation of duties to nursing staff. All staff are expected to adhere to organizational vaccination policies.
