Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Rome, GA. This position involves providing critical care support to patients within the ICU, managing complex medical conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36
• Start Date: 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: Georgia licensed RN, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in intensive care or similar specialty; valid drivers license may be required.
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Additional Information: The facility is a Level 2 Trauma designation teaching hospital with an electronic medical record system (EPIC). Support within the department includes CNA/Nurse tech staff, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, educators, staffing specialists, timekeepers/payroll staff, safety sitters, virtual patient observers, and security personnel. Orientation includes a clinical week followed by departmental on-floor training. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity.
• Floats: Floating to all med-surg and critical care units including ED boarders is required if necessary.
• Schedule Cycle: 13 weeks rotating with weekend and holiday rotations.
• On Call: On-call duty may be required during low census periods, but is rare.
• Other Notes: Scrub color is navy; parking is free; the department fosters a teamwork-oriented culture emphasizing prompt response and patient safety.
