Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within the surgical setting, providing health teaching, therapy, and treatment to support patient well-being. The OR nurse may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications and may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, variable hours, with open availability for days or evenings; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: - ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or higher from an accredited school of nursing; - Current RN license in the state of practice; - BLS (American Heart Association); - 1+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors degree of Nursing; - Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting; - Certification in ACLS, NRP, PALS as appropriate for the unit or service; - Certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
• Required Skills & Experience: - Health counseling, therapy and treatment, nursing care, health assessment, health teaching. - Additional skills include treatment plan review, clinical documentation, resource utilization, medical functions, patient referral, and registered nurse experience.
• Education: - Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing); - Preferred: Bachelors degree of Nursing.
• Licensure & Certifications: - Current RN license in the state of practice; - BLS (American Heart Association).
• Experience: - 0 years minimum required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position involves performing various clinical and operational duties in the surgical setting, including patient assessment, care delivery, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare team members.
