Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Portland, Oregon. This role involves delivering specialized nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery department. The position includes supervising and coordinating care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient outcomes. The role requires applying clinical expertise and critical thinking within a fast-paced obstetric environment.

Job Details:

Schedule: Day shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS; 0 years of experience (minimum)
Specialty: Labor And Delivery Department (L&D)
Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in the labor and delivery unit. Supervises and directs nursing activities, collaborates with the healthcare team, and provides education to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning and ensures safety and quality standards are met.
