Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse (RN) - Springfield, MO. The organization is seeking dedicated registered nurses to provide patient care in a high-acuity telemetry unit. The role involves delivering direct patient care, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams within a fast-paced environment. The position offers the opportunity to work in a level one trauma, stroke, STEMI, and burn center.

Job Details:

  • Location: 1235 E Cherokee St, Springfield, MO 65804
  • Schedule: Days, 0700-1900, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Openings: 4 positions
  • Start Date: 08/10/2026
  • Assignment Length: 13-26 weeks
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN license that meets criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri, BLS and ACLS from AHA, NIHSS certification preferred (must obtain prior to start), 1 year Telemetry, Stepdown, or Emergency Department (Level 3, Level 4, or critical access) experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma, pediatrics, high patient volume, high acuity experience
  • Unit Information:
    • Number of Beds: 68
    • Patient Ratios: 4:1 routinely, with adjustments for surge and other circumstances
    • EMR: EPIC
  • Additional Information:
    • Utilizes nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care.
    • Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
    • Coordinates with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes.
    • Functions within scope of nursing practice according to Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards.
    • Demonstrates clinical expertise and effective communication skills.
    • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in a clean, air-conditioned environment.
