Job Summary:
The position of Endoscopy Lab Nurse is located in Wilson, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within the endoscopy unit, supporting diagnostic procedures involving gastroenterology equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various GI procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience, and ability to practice in North Carolina
• Specialty: Endoscopy Laboratory (Endo Lab)
• Position: Replacement of permanent staff, one opening available
• Unit Information:
  • Department: Endoscopy
  • Number of Beds: 1 endoscopy room; planning to add a second
  • Equipment: Standard GI equipment Olympus
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Patient Population: Adult patients, no pediatric cases
• Additional Notes:
  • No specific certifications required
  • No float requirements
  • Experience with cleaning and processing scopes preferred
  • Typical procedures are diagnostic; no advanced procedures such as ERCP
  • Dress code: Scrubs, no specific color required
  • Unacceptable attire includes provocative, offensive, or political clothing
