The medical-surgical floor registered nurse (RN) position is located in a general medical and surgical unit within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing patient care for a diverse patient population, including those with COVID-19, utilizing standard nursing skills and procedures. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 3315 S. Alameda, Corpus Christi, TX 78411
• Position Type: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Floor
• Shift Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Unit Information:
  • Bed Count: 16 beds
  • Staff: 25 members (including day and night shift staff)
  • Patient Ratio: Maximum of 6:1
  • Equipment: Standard medical equipment and electronic medical record (EMR) system (Meditech)
• Unit Description:
  • Type: Medical/Surgical unit, caring for Med/Surg patients and COVID-positive patients
  • Typical Procedures: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, documentation in EMR, communication with care team
• Required Qualifications:
  • Active RN license with at least 2 years of recent acute medical-surgical experience within the last year
  • Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg experience
  • Experience in ortho or neuro-surgery settings, or a Med/Surg/Telemetry background
• Personality Fit: Friendly, positive, patient-centered, team-focused
• Certifications: RN license required
• Additional Information:
  • Float: Float rotation may be required when necessary
  • Dress Code: Scrubs
