Description
Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technologist in a healthcare setting. Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and safety of surgical instruments to ensure high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Process specialty and general instruments.
- Reset instrument sets without error.
- Decontaminate instruments and equipment according to procedure.
- Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
- Prepare and assemble surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
- Communicate instrument repair needs to supervisor.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Licenses and Credentials: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
- Related Experience: 2-4 years preferred.
- Knowledge of case cart assembly.
- Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management.
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.
- Shift Hours: 8 hours per day.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours.
- Start Date: 09/06/2026.
- End Date: 12/05/2026.
- No minimum experience is required beyond the stated qualifications.
