Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Austin, Texas. This seasonal contract position offers an opportunity to work in a busy and high-volume labor and delivery unit. The role involves providing specialized care to mothers and newborns, with a focus on patient safety and positive outcomes. The assignment is for a 13-week period, with shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications; 2+ years of experience in labor and delivery; familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring; competent in SVE, C-Section circulation; must have experience with high-volume Level IV units
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with internal monitor placement; previous HCA assignment/employments; experience working in high-acuity environments
• Additional Information:
  • Unit located on the 4th floor within a high-volume labor and delivery department with 32 beds and a staffing ratio of 1:2
  • Team-oriented environment with a positive attitude encouraged; uniform required includes solid-colored scrubs in navy blue, black, or grey (no T-shirts or non-compliant attire)
  • Equipment used includes Novii, JADA, fetal pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US
  • Procedures commonly performed include SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, TOLAC
