Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position is located in Redding, California. This type of role involves caring for stepdown patients transitioning from intensive care, with a focus on close monitoring and specialized treatment. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting at 6:45 AM or PM, with three shifts per week. Schedules are typically arranged 2-3 weeks in advance and can be scheduled up to approximately 9 weeks ahead.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar critical care setting, with competency in arterial and central venous pressure pressure lines, titrating pressors, and managing ventilated/trached patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrating drips such as Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, and levophed. Familiarity with telemetry training and high-risk medication management.
• Float: First to float; float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units.
• Additional Notes: Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in a specialty-critical care unit. The unit emphasizes patient experience, HCAHPS, and core measure adherence. The team values self-motivation, teamwork, and alignment with organizational mission and values.
