Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a highly regarded healthcare organization. The role involves providing specialized care to critically ill newborns, including premature infants, across a Level III and Level IV neonatal environment. The position requires a dedicated professional with NICU experience and appropriate certifications, working night shifts to support the organizations pediatric critical care services.
Job Details:
- Location: Baltimore, MD
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN License; BLS; NRP; STABLE; 2 years of comparable NICU experience in a minimum Level III setting; Level IV experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level IV NICU, with exposure to EPIC electronic health record systems.
- Additional Information: The position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including newborns with congenital anomalies, respiratory distress syndrome, and other complex conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, gastroschisis, and hydrocephalus. The role requires familiarity with intensive neonatal care for critically ill infants, including those requiring active fetal therapy interventions. Candidates with prior employment in any capacity within the organizations health system must have been away for at least one year for travel application consideration.
