Job Summary
Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician - Plano, TX. This position supports surgical operations in the inter-operative phase of patient care, assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment. The role involves preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile conditions, and supporting surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or surgeon.
Job Details
- Location: Plano, TX
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, with shifts covering days (exact schedule: 0630-1500 or similar, based on the schedule provided)
- Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA only), CST (NBSTSA or NCCT), grandfathered candidates are also accepted; minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR), Hearts, and vascular specialties
- Specialty: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Experience: 0 years minimum experience (with 2 years of CVOR experience preferred)
- Additional Notes: Scrub color will be provided. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, with a travel component involved. This role requires working in a fast-paced surgical environment, following strict infection control and sterilization guidelines. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, human anatomy, and surgical procedures, with effective communication skills for teamwork in the operating room.
