Job Summary:
Cardiac Renal Unit Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position located in Evansville, Indiana. The role involves providing high-acuity care on a 41-bed unit with a focus on cardiac and renal patient populations. This position requires a team-oriented, resilient, and adaptable healthcare professional capable of managing complex cases in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Days, with minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must have a current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac/Telemetry, including at least 1 travel assignment. Recent EPIC charting experience is required, with a checkoff class necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high acuity Telemetry/M/S, including interpreting 12-lead EKGs and managing of antiarrhythmic drips. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are highly valued.
• Float: Float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY) campus within the specified notice period. Cross-campus float is unlikely but possible; within-campus float is expected.
• Additional Information: The unit features excellent staff retention, and the manager has over 15 years of experience with the team. The position involves precepting students and new-hires, with no COVID-19 vaccination requirement at this time. Expect to be scheduled every other holiday and five out of six weekends, with a focus on providing quality patient care in a high-acuity setting.
