Description
Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in BILLINGS, Montana. The role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching, health counseling, and supportive therapies to promote patient well-being. The nurse may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications and may be called in during scheduled shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: ASN (Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing), current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association), at least 1 year of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, ACLS, NRP, or PALS certifications as appropriate for the unit or service, previous ICU nursing experience.
- Additional Information: The role involves providing direct or indirect patient care within the ICU setting, coordinating therapy and treatment plans, and documenting according to hospital and regulatory guidelines.
