Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position is located in Pleasanton, California. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients within the scope of practice defined by the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory standards, and hospital policies. The ICU Nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license; current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred; minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience is highly preferred; familiarity with electronic health records and advanced critical care equipment.
• Additional Information: The role requires the ability to rapidly assess complex clinical situations, respond appropriately, and activate emergency protocols when necessary. The nurse will participate in team meetings, contribute to unit programs, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. Strong communication skills and leadership qualities are essential for success in this role.
