Description

Job Summary:
A Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) is sought for a healthcare facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The position involves working in the operating room environment with a focus on orthopedic, general, robotic, and neuro surgical cases. The role requires strong neuro surgery experience, and the schedule includes daytime shifts with a 12-hour shift duration. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration within a dynamic surgical team.

Job Details:

  • Location: Fort Worth, Texas
  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: CST certification is mandatory; candidates should have surgical experience or have completed a peri-operative internship program. BSN degree preferred, with consideration for candidates planning to take the CNOR exam.
  • Preferred Qualifications: DaVinci robotic experience, orthopedic experience, neuro surgical procedures including spine and craniotomies, experience with electromagnetic medical records systems such as Meditech.
  • Unit Information:
    • Number of Beds: 12 operating rooms
    • Shift Types: Day and night shifts with a 1:1 patient-to-staff ratio
    • Equipment: EMR systems including Meditech
    • Patient Procedures: Orthopedic, general surgery, advanced laparoscopic, robotic, bariatrics, neuro surgeries
  • Personality Fit: Outgoing, confident, friendly, team-oriented
  • Additional Details:
    • Weekend call is scheduled one weeknight and one weekend per month, with a 24-hour call starting Friday at 3 PM through Monday at 7 AM
    • Flexibility with self-scheduling of weekend call rotation
    • Scrubs provided by the department
