Job Summary:
The unit is seeking a qualified healthcare professional for a step-down unit position located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, including stroke, cardiac (preferably with experience managing cardiac drips), post-operative patients (orthopedic, genitourinary, gynecological, general surgical), and general medical cases. The position requires adaptability and the ability to float within the facility or to sites within 40 miles when needed. The shift is scheduled for nights, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week, beginning on 08/09/2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical (MS) or Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) experience; must be adaptable and able to care for a wide variety of patients including stroke, cardiac (preferably with experience managing cardiac drips), post-operative patients (orthopedic, genitourinary, gynecological, general surgical), and general medical; EPIC electronic health record system experience; travel experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
• Additional Information: The facility requires candidates to be adaptable and capable of caring for a diverse patient population. Candidates should be able to work nights, with shifts lasting 12 hours, and be comfortable floating within the organization as needed.
