Description

Job Summary:
A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse position is available in MESA, Arizona. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, BLS certification. Experience in the clinical area for which the candidate is applying is desired. Clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area must be maintained through annual validations.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Professional certification relevant to pediatric intensive care is preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role involves direct patient care with responsibilities including assessment, care coordination, documentation, and participation in clinical research activities. The nurse will support patient and family education, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and may supervise staff and work flow as needed. The position requires physical agility to respond quickly to patient needs, effective communication skills, and ability to handle the physical demands of the environment.
