Description

Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse in Mesa, Arizona. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for pediatric patients in the specialized intensive care environment. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to organizational policies and professional nursing standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or equivalent, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in pediatric intensive care or a similar acute care setting for at least one year in the past 12 months is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher is preferred; professional certification related to pediatric or critical care specialties is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will perform comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients, develop and revise care plans, provide direct patient care, and document clinical activities accurately. The role includes educational responsibilities, participation in quality improvement activities, and potential supervision of staff. The position requires physical agility, effective communication, and the ability to respond quickly to urgent care needs.
