Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Nurse Rotating Night Shift The organization is seeking an experienced ICU Cardiovascular Registered Nurse for a 10-week contract. The role involves caring for postoperative cardiac surgery patients, including those on ECMO, Impella, and other complex cardiac procedures. Candidates will be expected to perform in a fast-paced environment with a focus on acute cardiac patient management.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: MD RN license, BLS certification, CPI certification, ACLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of ICU Cardiovascular experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS and OCN certifications are preferred but not required.
• Float: Floating to MSICU as needed is required.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have experience with the direct care of open-heart patients immediately post-op, including managing inotropic medications, hemodynamic instability, cardiac output, and open chest management.
  • Be prepared to work every third weekend and as scheduled on holidays.
  • On-call hours of 24-32 hours per 8-week schedule are required.
  • The unit has 6 beds, with patient ratios of 1:2, primarily caring for postoperative cardiac surgery patients such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and other structural heart procedures.
