Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Obstetrics in Riverside, California. This role involves providing direct patient care in a high-volume labor and delivery unit, managing labor progression, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care. The position emphasizes teamwork, organization, and experience in labor and delivery procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications, and AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification. A minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Couplet Care and Over 2 years of labor and delivery experience is highly desirable. Skills in transition nursing, baby catching, NST, cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, and McRoberts maneuver are preferred.
• Additional Information: The unit maintains a staffing ratio of 1 nurse to 2 patients, with specific roles including charge nurses and OB technicians. The department operates in a busy, organized environment with a focus on postpartum and postpartum-couplet care. The dress code is hospital infant security scrubs, and unit policies are accessible via the intranet. Weekend and on-call duties are required as needed.
