Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse in Denver, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in a busy, high-acuity unit within a reputable healthcare organization. The position offers an opportunity to work with a talented team in a state-of-the-art facility serving complex congenital and cardiac patients.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of Colorado, at least two years of pediatric cardiac critical care experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) bedside experience.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a 10-bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit equipped with Phillips monitors, Medfusion, and Baxter pumps. It manages post-operative care, inotropic and vasopressor infusions, IVF, chest tube management, and moderate sedation. The team consists of experienced professionals with an average of 10 years of nursing experience, supporting a culture of safety and evidence-based practice. The unit operates the ECMO Center of the hospital, utilizing advanced technology such as the centrimag, prismax, and arctic sun. The healthcare providers collaborate closely with board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists, offering a supportive environment for professional growth and patient care excellence.
