Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Orthopedic care in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This night shift opportunity involves providing comprehensive patient care on a 28-bed unit with an additional 22 overflow beds. The role requires flexibility, adherence to clinical policies, and a focus on patient-centered care, including hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; Iowa state nursing license; drivers license; must pass/pass the exam during orientation with a score of 90%; able to work night shift
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic and medical-surgical patient populations; familiarity with electronic health records such as EPIC; experience reading telemetry strips; Able to float to progressive care units and behavioral health units as needed
• Float: Float to progressive care unit and behavioral health unit may be required
• Duties: Includes bedside patient care, hourly rounding, shift reporting, and monitoring vital signs and patient status
• Certifications: BLS certification required
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
