Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position is located in Breckenridge, Minnesota. This role involves providing care in a Level IV trauma center and stroke receiving center with 4 beds and 2 trauma bays. The ER handles approximately 10 patients daily, and the nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts of 12 hours, including day and night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend requirements every other week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience along with previous Medsurg experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float to medical-surgical and swing bed units on the same unit may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • ER operates with a charge nurse each shift who takes patients.
  • No telemonitor techs; RNs required to read their own strips.
  • Lab staff perform phlebotomy and lab draws.
  • Nurse aides, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters are present on each shift.
  • All staff must wear navy blue scrubs.
  • Orientation includes 12-hour shifts over a week for each shift type.
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront; no additional RTO is allowed after submission.
  • The facility has a 50-mile radius rule and candidates cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with affiliated facilities within the past year.
  • The electronic charting system used is Point Click Care (PCC).
