Job Summary:
Postpartum Nurse (L&D PP) in a hospital setting located in Denver, Colorado. This position involves providing care for mothers and newborns on a dedicated postpartum floor. The nurse will monitor vital signs, administer medications, educate parents on newborn care and safety, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; at least 1 year of current hospital postpartum, Mother/Baby (M/B), or postpartum experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; location in Denver, Colorado; no minimum experience requirement.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Mother/Baby unit; flexibility with schedule; ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
• Additional Information: The unit consists of approximately 23 beds with a staff of about 80 members, including nurses, CNAs, and neonatal staff. Typical procedures performed include vital sign monitoring, medication administration, perineal care, and parental education. The team values compassion, patience, and strong communication skills. The unit is equipped with Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems, and staff may have the opportunity to work with new technology to enhance patient care.
