Job Summary:
The orthopedic medical-surgical unit nurse is responsible for providing patient-centered care on a busy surgical unit in a healthcare organization located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The position involves managing a patient load with a focus on orthopedic and general surgical care, within a supportive team environment that embraces new technology and procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, no minimum years of experience required, location in Kentucky or willing to relocate.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Orthopedic or Medical-Surgical units preferred.
- Additional Information: Unit utilizes PCTs and SNEs in technical roles, with US available during day shifts. Schedules are planned in a four-week increment, with full-time staff required to work four weekend shifts. Staff must adhere to hospital dress code, including scrub attire. The unit emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and the use of new equipment.
