Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse in Atlanta, GA. This position involves providing specialized cardiac and vascular surgical care in a dynamic surgical environment. The role requires flexibility to float to general operating rooms if necessary, with a focus on supporting cardiac, vascular, neurosurgical, surgical oncology, and robotic procedures.
Job Details:
- Location: Atlanta, GA
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- End Date: 11/29/2026
- Certifications/Education/Experience: Licensed Registered Nurse with Georgia or compact license in hand, 1 year of relevant experience in operating room, open heart or cardiovascular surgery preferred
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state, minimum of 1 year of experience in operating room environments, experience with cardiac and vascular procedures, strong endovascular skills, preferred experience in neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and robotic surgeries, ability to float to multiple campuses (Saint Joseph's, University, Midtown)
- Schedule Details: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, assignments start by 9/14 to maintain rate
- Additional Information: Call required every 48-60 hours in a 4-week period, including weekends. Candidates may volunteer to sign up for calls on days off or during scheduled days, with staff allowed to leave early after on-call duty. On-call rooms available for staff comfort. Parking cost is $75/month. This is a 13-week assignment with potential for extension.
