Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) at a community hospital located in Greenfield, Massachusetts. This position involves providing emergency care in a busy hospital setting, supporting a unit with 23 beds including a psychiatric pod. The RN will work during night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and is responsible for managing a high patient volume in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Location: Greenfield, MA
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of Massachusetts, BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification, minimum one year of ER experience, four years preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in a community hospital emergency department, familiarity with high-volume patient care, strong communication skills
- Additional Information: The ER unit handles approximately 60-80 cases daily, with patient ratios around 4:1. The facility is equipped to handle a variety of emergency cases with specialized units including a psychiatric pod.
