Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Nurse in Rock Island, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a telemetry and medical-surgical setting. The role may require floating across local campuses and working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The nurse will contribute clinical expertise to support patient management and safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Two years of previous experience, at least one completed travel contract preferred; Illinois license required; Driver's license; Work history/resume; Skills checklist completed within one year; License verification; Copy of required certifications; References including one supervisory reference at time of submission.
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA).
- Additional Information:
- Must have taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, unless located in Madison, where local candidates with a 10% rate reduction are accepted.
- Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CV lines, drains, and central lines required.
- Titration of medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban required.
- Orientation scheduled for multiple dates starting from 01/12/2026.
- Up to 48 hours weekly guarantee, with possibility for 8, 10, or 13-week contracts.
- The unit maintains a 1:7 patient ratio, with a high volume of open travel needs to help lower this ratio.
- The candidate will be expected to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
- Call requirements: No call.
- EMR: EPIC.
- Call back: 1.5x multiplier with a two-hour minimum.
- Other notes include specific multipliers for callbacks, on-call, and holidays, as well as potential charge/precept hours.
