Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in post-partum care is sought for a facility located in Eureka, California. This position involves providing specialized obstetric nursing care in a high-risk obstetrics environment with a culturally diverse patient population. The role includes circulating on cesarean sections and supporting mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The start date is scheduled for August 24, 2026.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 48 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics, circulating on cesarean sections, use of Epic charting system, prior experience in a high-risk OB setting.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within your scope to meet facility needs.
• Schedule: The position requires working nights, approximately 48 hours per week, with a start date of 08/24/2026.
• Additional Information: The role supports a daily census of approximately 15-20 patients with a facility volume of over 300 births per month. Candidates must be flexible and able to work at least 3 of the 5 major holidays. References covering the last 3 years are required, and applicants should respond to prior work experience at Providence facilities if applicable.
