Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery Department at a facility focused on obstetric services. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on high-risk pregnancies and delivery procedures.

Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of labor and delivery experience; valid compact state license; certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support), FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), AWHONN Intermediate. Epic experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
  • Patient Diagnoses: Labor and preterm labor.
  • Unit Details: 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms, supporting adolescents, infants, and adults.
  • Special Procedures: Blood and blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, medication administration (heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate), attends all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, postpartum, transition nursery.
  • Special Equipment: Attends high-risk and all deliveries; experience with GYN surgeries and nursery care advantageous.
  • Float: Yes, post-partum and NICU based on skill set.
  • Additional Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience; must have used Epic charting system; must be willing to work nights with a 12-hour shift schedule; must include responses to prerequisites such as prior employment at a Providence facility and references.
  • Travel/Orientation: Authorization to float between nearby sister facilities; orientation hours to be provided pre-start.
