Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing care in a trauma level II emergency department. Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour days, with shifts starting at 0500, 0900, or 1000 hours. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certification. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with 3-6 months of prior travel experience; trauma level II experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
• Float: May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley.
• Additional Information: This facility features an 18-bed unit with stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory services. The environment is very face-paced, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse. Epic computer charting, Pyxis medication dispenser, in-house labs, and RN-drawn labs are utilized. RT and X-ray staff are on site in the emergency department. Hard-working, resilient, and adaptable candidates who can manage change well are preferred. Scrub colors are flexible. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times. The contract guarantees set hours of 36 per week, excluding holidays when the unit may be closed. The start date is expected to be 08/17/2026.
