Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Float RN is needed in a facility located in Minocqua, Wisconsin. This position involves providing acute care for adult and pediatric patients with diverse medical conditions, primarily serving the elderly population. The RN will work night shifts and be responsible for managing various critical and non-critical patient needs in a dynamic ICU environment.

Job Details:

• Position: Intensive Care Unit Float RN
• Location: Minocqua, Wisconsin
• Shift: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, located within 80 miles of the facility.
• Patient Ratios: Medical/Surgical 1:5 days, 1:6 nights; ICU 1:2; Pediatric 1:3-4
• Common Patient Diagnoses/Types: Elderly patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, skin, GI, GU, orthopedic, sepsis, outpatient transfusions, and pediatric respiratory or post-op care.
• Skills & Responsibilities: Titrating drips such as heparin, insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, PCA fentanyl, Propofol, Norepinephrine; reading rhythm strips; managing ventilators and monitoring equipment; floating to ER, UC, PACU as needed; working with nurse aides.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with scheduling blocks when possible. Weekend and holiday rotations required. Call or standby may be required during low census periods.
• Additional Information: In-house to emergency department, outpatient clinics, and PACU with interfacility work between two locations; orientation includes one day of computer-based training and 1-2 days shift orientation.
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs for RNs, Ceil Blue for CNAs.
• Charting System: Cerner
• Other Notes: Facility notes that previous clinicians must have an end date with the organization at least 6 months prior to submission. Must clock in/out at the facility. Tele monitors are GE - ApexPro with documentation by Weston tele techs; RNs should be able to read rhythm strips.
