Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This role involves assisting with general, gynecology, orthopedic, urology, ENT, and other surgical cases. The position requires scrubbing and supporting the surgical team during procedures, including call responsibilities, in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Four 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30, with potential start times at 06:30 based on case needs; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience working in the OR.
• Specialty: Operating Room.
• Experience or 'Must Have' Skills: Experience with general, gynecology, orthopedic, urology, ENT cases, and proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system.
• Scrubbing required: Yes, to assist for call.
• Manager/Charge Nurse: Always on shift; may take assignments or break, depending on staffing needs.
• Elective staff: Surgical aides assist with room cleaning and patient transfers.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, with potential early start based on case needs; schedule made by the organization, not self-scheduled.
• Weeknight/Weekend/Call: Six call days per four-week schedule, with weeknight (1730-0700) and weekend (0700-0700) call coverage.
• Holiday/Call Requirements: Holiday call may be assigned if holidays fall within the contract.
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes.
• Floating: Not applicable.
• Dress Code: Facility supplies scrubs; no nail polish, jewelry, or necklaces for scrubbed personnel.
• Orientation: One week of department-specific onboarding.
• Charting System: Cerner.
• Licensing: License to submit required.
• Trauma Level: Not specified.
