Psychiatric Unit Nurse Rochester, New Hampshire. This facility is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join their psychiatric unit. The role involves providing patient care on a unit with a strong team focus, utilizing various equipment and documentation systems specific to the facility. The ideal candidate will have a psychiatric background and be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts with a schedule that includes alternating weekends.
Job Details
- Location: Rochester, New Hampshire
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS; Education: RN license; Location: New Hampshire; Experience: 0 years minimum, with preferred background in psychiatric and geriatric care; Must have an RN license in the state of New Hampshire
- Preferred Qualifications: Psychiatric experience preferred, geriatrics experience preferred
- Responsibilities: Provide nursing care in a psychiatric setting, support patient discharge planning, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including recreational therapists and social workers. Utilize mechanical lifts, Sara Steady equipment, and the Meditech Expanse documentation system.
- Additional Information: The unit staff includes multiple team members with five or more years of tenure and psychiatric experience. The team operates with 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends, in a family-oriented and supportive environment. The unit offers modern equipment and has a focus on patient-centered care. Occasional floating may be required to assist as a helper.
