Description

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional position is located in Washington, District of Columbia. The role involves providing specialized technical support in the operating room environment, particularly focusing on labor and delivery procedures, with a primary emphasis on cesarean sections. The surgical technologist will assist in preparing surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment, and will support the surgical team throughout procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

  • Location: Washington, District of Columbia
  • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
    • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program
    • Two years of scrubbing experience in labor and delivery, with a focus on cesarean sections (C/S)
    • BLS certification
    • Good communication skills
    • High School diploma or equivalency
    • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility location
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • None specified
  • Additional Information:
    • Do not submit without Labor & Delivery experience.
    • Must have knowledge of surgical procedures, including preparation of supplies and equipment.
    • Responsible for case clean-up, patient positioning, moving patients, and room turnovers.
    • All candidates should be prepared to support a dynamic clinical environment and collaborate closely with the surgical team.
