Description

Job Summary
This position is for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse at a healthcare facility located in Watertown, New York. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a 12-hour day shift schedule. The assigned shift runs from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend, holiday, and call responsibilities. The contract duration is 13 weeks, and they prefer candidates with experience in critical care. Qualified candidates must have a current New York State Registered Nurse license and relevant certifications.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; current New York State RN license; BLS required; ACLS required; NIH required; at least 1 successful traveler assignment completed
  • Preferred Qualifications: Current critical care experience; PALS preferred
  • Additional Information: Must possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles, including the ability to provide quality patient care and assess patients' clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs. Ability to recognize safety issues and safely move or lift patients is required. Candidates should be able to work well under stress and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate are essential; may be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are also necessary.
