Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse opportunity available in a general care unit located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care for patients during childbirth and related procedures, ensuring safety and comfort throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The position requires a dedicated professional with strong clinical skills and team collaboration abilities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 4 or more years of experience, valid California nursing license, BLS certification, and must have experience in Labor and Delivery settings
- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 10
- Number of Staff: 120
- Type of staff: Charge Nurse, Unit Clerk, Scrub Tech, RNs based on patient census
- Typical procedures: Deliveries, C-sections, other Labor & Delivery related cases
- Equipment: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) - Meditech/CPN, typical supplies and monitors used in L&D units
- Personality Fit: Team player
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Attire: Scrubs, with unit-specific policies and dress code guidelines
- Additional Information:
- Weekends: Rotating weekends based on calendar
- On-call: Yes, as per unit policy
- Position created due to vacancy
