Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Professional in Bakersfield, California. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery department, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the childbirth process. The position requires supervising nursing staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and applying clinical judgment to meet patient needs effectively.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ARC-Advanced Life Support (ALS); Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); AHA-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or ARC-Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS); 3 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute care facility.
• Essential Functions: Collects relevant patient data, analyzes assessment data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams, provides patient education, participates in discharge planning, delegates duties appropriately, and performs other related duties as needed.
• Department Specific Certifications: BLS, ACLS or ARC-ALS, FHM, NRP or NALS.
