Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) position located in Auburn, California. This role involves performing standardized instrument processing and decontamination to prevent infection spread, supporting departmental functionality through cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing medical equipment. The position requires independent work, adherence to sterilization procedures, and compliance with all relevant regulations to ensure safety and quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, CBSPD, or CSPDT. Valid California State License. At least 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute hospital or trauma Level I/II settings, knowledge of charting systems, and prior travel experience preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in aseptic technique, biological and chemical indicator testing, high-level disinfection, sterilization wrapping procedures, and equipment maintenance and documentation.
• Additional Information: Weekend call required once per month; holiday coverage required. The schedule is released in 4-week increments, with possible mid-shift hours starting at 0700, 0830, 1100, and 1400. On-call and weekend rotations are included in the schedule. Candidates must complete onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide 7-year work history verification with supporting documentation if needed.
