Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS REHAB) in Wisconsin will be responsible for delivering patient care on a 12-hour night shift in an adult acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. The role involves assisting patients with various diagnoses, including stroke, trauma, orthopedics, and neurological conditions, with an emphasis on rehabilitation and recovery, adhering to unit-specific policies and procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday requirements every other or every third weekend and 2 out of 3 holidays during winter.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA); minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting; Wisconsin nursing license or equivalent; candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in acute inpatient rehabilitation units; prior travel experience preferred for MS nurses or first-time travelers with rehab background; willingness to float to medical-surgical tele units; ability to attend team conferences around 11 AM to 12 PM.
• Additional Information:
  • The unit has 10 private patient rooms, with patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5.
  • The team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and rehab physicians.
  • CNAs are available on day and evening shifts; night shift does not have CNA support.
  • Duties include administering inhalers, nebulizers, and managing respiratory equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP.
  • Scrubs can be any clean, professional color.
  • Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
  • End date for clinicians previously employed at this facility must be at least six months prior to submission.
