Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is located in a healthcare facility that provides womens services, including labor, postpartum, and nursery care. The role involves supporting adults and newborns during various stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health in an area known for outdoor recreation and western traditions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Associates or Bachelors degree in nursing, BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications, 2+ years of experience, must be greater than 60 miles from the facility to be considered travel, location requirements include being within 3 hours of Salt Lake City, and weekly orientation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD), Cesarean section, OB triage, nonstress testing, postpartum and nursery care, management of hemorrhages, fetal monitoring and interventions, and handling pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients.
- Additional Information: Facility is an LDRP unit with 15 beds, including six labor & delivery, nine postpartum beds. Equipment includes Omnicell medication dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and GE Centricity fetal heart rate monitors. The unit's patient population includes adults and newborns.
