Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nursing position is located in Elko, Nevada, at a regional healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on maintaining patient stability and executing advanced clinical procedures in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality healthcare in a scenic and vibrant community.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). One year of clinical experience in an ICU setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ART lines, central lines, ventilators, BIPAP, post-cardiac catheterization care, post-surgical care, moderate sedation, chest tube management, electrolyte management, and telemetry.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days. Local candidates or those living more than 60 miles from the facility are eligible to apply. The assignment includes weekly orientation sessions on Mondays, with a weekly rate of $55.80. The ICU has 7 beds, with patient ratios of 2:1 for high-acuity patients and 5:1 for medical-surgical overflow. Equipment used includes IV pumps, sequential compression devices (SCDs), telemetry monitors, and bedside monitoring systems. The patient population primarily includes adults and geriatrics. Candidates should be independent, self-motivated, focused, and able to manage their time effectively.
  • Additional notes: The role requires reporting within 30 minutes if on call. No specific dress code color is required, and there are no restrictions on attire.
