Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) professional position located in Highland Park, Illinois. This role involves supporting high-volume endoscopy procedures and assisting physicians during GI and endoscopy operations in a fast-paced environment. The position requires adaptability in start times and the ability to work a standard day shift based on scheduling needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour day shift, with start times flexible between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., estimated 36-40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, Epic electronic health record experience, and 2+ years of experience in GI Laboratory, Endoscopy PACU, or Telemetry Admission and recovery required. Candidate must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher on the first day.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GI procedures using Olympus scopes, familiarity with endoscopy supplies from well-known manufacturers, and experience in preoperative and postoperative care.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting during approximately 30-60 cases per day in a busy procedural environment. Skills include working with Olympus scopes and endoscopy supplies. Epic experience is highly preferred. Candidates should be prepared for potential floating to other local facilities such as Skokie, Evanston, or Glenbrook. No weekend work is required, and holidays are observed with no guaranteed hours during those weeks. Orientation is scheduled for Mondays, and all credentials must be submitted by Thursday prior to start date.
