Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Fullerton, CA. This position involves providing specialized care to high-risk neonates in a Level 3 NICU setting. The role requires working night shifts in a dynamic environment with a focus on delivering quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, minimum of 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NRP Advanced certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), and NICU experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts; shifts may exceed every other weekend and include holiday coverage based on hospital needs; orientation hours are 4.
• Float: Ability to float between NICU and mother-baby units as needed.
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates and infants.
• Patient Census: Approximately 6-7 patients daily across 2 rooms in a 14-bed NICU.
• Additional Information: The NICU operates 24/7 with neonatologists in-house; a smaller, Level 3 unit with all respiratory modalities except ECMO, and specialized procedures including APGAR scoring, arterial line management, and neonatal sepsis.
